Three Rivers Wellbeing

Nature-led wellbeing experiences supporting mental, emotional and physical health on the Isle Of Wight

The Wellbeing Centre

Three Rivers Wellbeing Centre is a nature-led wellbeing initiative based on the Isle of Wight, offering grounded, practical support for mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Rooted in connection, breath, and the natural environment, Three Rivers Wellbeing provides a safe and supportive space for people to slow down, reconnect, and restore balance in their lives.

Founded by Dan Anderson, Three Rivers Wellbeing sits alongside the wider Three Rivers Festival project. While the festival brings people together through music, creativity, and community, the wellbeing side exists to support deeper personal journeys throughout the year.

This work is especially focused on supporting men’s mental health, emotional regulation, nervous system balance, and reconnection with self through evidence-informed, body-based practices.

A Holistic Grounded Approach

At Three Rivers Wellbeing, the focus is on practical tools that help people manage stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and burnout in real life. Sessions are designed to be accessible, inclusive, and free from pressure or expectation.

Rather than talking about wellbeing, the work centres on experiencing it through the body. This approach recognises that many people carry stress, trauma, and emotional weight physically, often without realising it.

By working with the nervous system, breath, and environment, Three Rivers Wellbeing helps people regulate, release tension, and feel safer within themselves.

Somatic Breathwork

Somatic breathwork uses conscious, guided breathing techniques to support nervous system regulation and emotional release. These sessions help reduce anxiety, improve sleep, increase emotional clarity, and release stored tension held in the body.

Sessions are available one-to-one, in group settings, and as part of retreats. One-to-one breathwork sessions can also be held in the comfort of your own home across the Isle of Wight.

Cold Water Therapy

Cold Water Therapy is used as a powerful tool for mental resilience, emotional regulation, and stress management. When guided correctly, cold exposure can help improve mood, sharpen focus, reduce inflammation, and build confidence.

At Three Rivers Wellbeing, cold water therapy is always approached safely and gradually, with a strong emphasis on breath awareness, body signals, and personal boundaries.

Grounding and Nature-Based Practices

Grounding practices form the foundation of all Three Rivers Wellbeing work. These may include walking in nature, standing barefoot on natural ground, outdoor breath awareness, or quiet reflective time in natural surroundings.

Nature-based practices help calm the nervous system, reduce mental noise, and support emotional regulation by reconnecting the body with its natural rhythms.

Inner Child Healing

Inner child healing supports reconnection with parts of ourselves that may have been neglected, suppressed, or shaped by early life experiences. This work is gentle, reflective, and always held within a safe and supportive environment.

It is particularly beneficial for those who experience self-criticism, emotional shutdown, difficulty resting, or challenges feeling safe within themselves.

Drumming Circles and Group Connection

Drumming circles and rhythm-based practices support emotional release, grounding, and connection through shared experience rather than verbal processing. Rhythm helps regulate the nervous system and encourages presence and expression.

Group spaces are carefully held to promote trust, respect, and authentic connection without pressure to speak or perform.

Men’s Wellbeing Retreats and Group Work

Men’s wellbeing retreats and group sessions offer structured, supportive spaces for men to step away from daily pressures and reconnect with themselves in a grounded, practical way.

These experiences often combine breathwork, cold water therapy, grounding in nature, inner child healing, drumming circles, and reflection time. They are designed to support mental health, emotional regulation, and nervous system balance, particularly for men who may not have previously had access to safe spaces for emotional processing.

Retreats and Men’s Wellbeing

Three Rivers Wellbeing is particularly known for its men’s retreats, which offer structured, supportive spaces for men to step away from daily pressures and reconnect with themselves.

Men’s retreats typically include:

  • Somatic breathwork

  • Cold water therapy

  • Grounding in nature

  • Inner child healing

  • Drumming circles

  • Reflection and integration time

These retreats are designed to support mental health, emotional wellbeing, and nervous system regulation, especially for men who may not have had access to safe spaces for emotional processing.

Supporting Mental Health on the Isle of Wight

Three Rivers Wellbeing is committed to supporting the local Isle of Wight community. Many people face stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm silently, often without the tools or space to address it.

This work does not replace medical or clinical support but sits alongside it, offering practical wellbeing tools that people can use in everyday life.

Sessions are suitable for those experiencing:

Stress and burnout

Anxiety and panic

Emotional overwhelm

Difficulty switching off or sleeping

Disconnection from self or others

About The Founder

Three Rivers Wellbeing was founded by Dan Anderson, who also founded the Three Rivers Festival. With a strong belief in the power of community, nature, and embodied wellbeing practices, Dan created Three Rivers Wellbeing to provide year-round support beyond the festival environment.

The wellbeing side of Three Rivers reflects the same values as the festival: connection, authenticity, inclusivity, and respect for individual journeys.

A Space to Pause, Breathe, and Reconnect

Three Rivers Wellbeing exists to remind people that wellbeing is not a race, a performance, or a destination. It is a journey that requires space, patience, and support.

Whether through breathwork, cold water therapy, grounding, or retreat experiences, the aim is simple: to help people feel more regulated, more connected, and more able to show up for themselves and those they care about.
